Our native Zhabinka district is an original land, which is rich in historical traditions and generous with talents. It is a little similar to other Belarusian places. But at the same time it is unique. Our district is old and also very young, with its own past, present and future. From year to year Zhabinkovshchina is becoming prettier. First of all, thanks to its people who give all their strength, talent, wisdom and experience for the sake of life on this land.
Today our region is a highly developed agricultural and industrial district of Brestchina. We have much to be proud of: stable development of industry, construction, modernization of agricultural production, social sphere. Zhabinkovshchina is situated at the crossroads of highways and railways what creates preconditions for its development. In the country are well known JSC «Zhabinka sugar plant», JSC «Zhabinka feed mill».
Zhabinka land is famous for its friendliness and neighborliness. Many memorable places of our land are under the state protection, traditions of folk art and folklore are revived and carefully saved. In Zhabinkovshchina there are places connected with life and work of Tadeush Kostyushko, national hero of Belarus, Poland and the USA. In the territory of the district remain such unique architectural monuments as the Church of St. Nicetas in village Zditovo – it is an architectural monument of the XVI century. In village Khmelevo is situated the Monastery of the Holy Transfiguration. Khmelevo desert is the place of pilgrimage for believers from all over the country and from abroad. On the place of village Dremlevo, which was burnt by the fascists in September 1942, the memorial complex of the same name was erected.
One of the most important social facilities is health and fitness center «Bodrost». In a picturesque pine forest on the river Mukhavets is situated one of the most beautiful health resorts in Belarus - sanatorium «Bug». There are also rural estates that provide guests with their services.
